Click Image to see larger version in my gallery 10 x 14 in - 25 x 36 cm Watercolor This marks a return to painting watercolor. While it requires a lot more thought, it is so much more instant, at least the way I paint it is. The freedom of washes and runs all are just so delightful.
I am pleased with this even though it may not work quite as well as I first thought. The strongly (and differently) painted figures are supposed to be balanced by the while area bottom right but they aren't really. The red is only found in that one area but even so I just like the way it screams watercolor.
This is the reference that I was looking at while I painted. The photo was taken last year in New York.
